Time for Tots

Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14)

Time for Tots is led by Mrs. Sarah Hahm with support and help from Kathy Samens and Val Dethloff. Bible stories are taught to the children using simple Bible storybooks, songs, and fingerplays, with Jesus, our Savior, always at the center.

We want to strengthen your relationship with Jesus AND your child.  We want to give you experiences you can share together whether you are mom, dad, grandparent, nanny – all caregivers!

Time for Tots is geared for caregivers and their children ages 5 and under, but older siblings are always welcome.

A Typical Day

  • 9:00 – 9:30 is spent as free play
    Adults enjoy coffee and conversation as we watch our kiddos play. The intent is to give you support with other adults who are going through the same situations you are, while the children socialize with kids their own age. 
  • 9:30 – 9:50 is our structured time
    The adults and children snuggle up together for our Circle Time which includes songs and stories centered around the Bible. 
  • 9:50 – 10:10 is when we share a snack and make some art
    We often try to match the snack to the theme of the lesson. Then we create art that the kids can bring home to reflect on what they learned as well as share with every single person they know.
  • 10:10 – 10:30 is when we get to RUN!
    Zion is blessed with a playground specifically designed for early childhood. We also have a gleaming gym filled with a variety of age appropriate toys. We’d love nothing more than to send you home with a child who cannot wait for their nap.
  • 10:30 is when we’re done
    Time for Tots comes to a close for the day. Let friends and family know what a great time you had. New attendees are always welcome!

Please register starting August 1st. Time for Tots sessions are on Thursday mornings, 9:00-10:30am, September 10th-April 29th. New attendees are welcome throughout the year.

We ask for $30 per family to help cover materials. Please pay with cash or check on first day you attend.  THANK YOU!
